Up for grabs an all original 1972 Fender Mustang in Competition Red finish in great shape!! These Mustangs are some of the coolest Fender short-scale guitars and were produced with the stripes from 1969 to 1973, later becoming super popular among grunge and alternative players. This one is 100% original and in excellent shape, it plays very well and has a super comfortable medium-C neck profile. Dark rosewood fingerboard, frets have still a lot of life left (has been refretted), electronics and hardware are original and the guitar plays beautifully up and down the fretboard, delivering bright and jangly clean tones with lots of clarity and great punch with distortion. Cosmetically, it shows some signs of aging but it is overall in very good condition. There are some nicks, dings and superficial scratches in the finish but nothing more. The red finish has aged nicely. New Fender trem arm included. Comes with a non-original hardshell case (see photos).
